Her exit from Munich was expected after she was seen fighting back tears while applauding the club's fans following a victory over Bayer Leverkusen recently. It was reported in December that the German women's top flight was losing one of its leading strikers. According to reports, the formalities for the transfer have now been completed. Consistent Goal Threat to Strengthen United's Attack The 28-year-old’s arrival is expected to provide a major uplift to United’s forward line. She has been highly reliable in front of goal in Germany’s top flight. For seven consecutive seasons, including the most recent campaign, she achieved at least a double-digit tally of league goals. She claimed the Golden Boot in the 2021-22 season with 16 goals. Gathering Momentum at Carrington Securing the German international comes at a time when the club seem to be gathering momentum. Recent on-pitch successes include securing a place in the Champions League knockout phase playoffs in a seeded position and a victory in the League Cup quarter-finals. In the transfer market, the winter break has seen additional business: The signing of Swedish right-back Hanna Lundkvist on a three-and-a-half-year deal. The contract extension for Japan midfielder Hinata Miyazawa, who has become fan favourite since arriving in 2023.
